Note on moisture and fogging in rear lights

With changes in temperature, high humidity, or after rain and vehicle washing, slight fogging may temporarily form on the inside of the lens. This is caused by the condensation of atmospheric moisture, as rear lights are ventilated. This phenomenon also occurs with original headlights/rear lights from various vehicle manufacturers.

Slight fogging that dries out again is usually technically harmless and in itself not an indication of a leak.

A production-related attachment point may be visible on the back of the light housing. This is a so-called injection point, which occurs during plastic injection moulding – it is not damage or a material defect. The fit, installation, and service life of the rear light are not affected by this.
